Carlos Alberto Gonzalez

About Me Born in 1967, raised in the Rio Grande Valley, Texas (not technically a valley). I served in the U.S. Army for 10 years (1986–1996) as a Combat Veteran in the First Gulf War and Somalia. I live with service-related disabilities, including PTSD. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics from Texas University and have been tutoring and working as a teacher’s aide with Lee College’s prison program for the past 10 years. A practicing Buddhist for the last 4 years, I dedicate much of my free time to exercise, drawing, self-help, and reading fantasy and science fiction. I also enjoy watching sports. Proudly, I have been alcohol-free for the past 12 years.
